Car driver can reach the Ruhr-Universität easily via Germany’s dense motorway network. The fastest route is via the motorway junction Bochum/Witten, where the motorways A43 and A44 meet. Please take the exit for Bochum-Querenburg and follow the signs for “Ruhr-Universität”.

Parking
Visitor parking is possible at car park P 4-8 (follow the signs for Audimax) and P 9 (follow the signs for Veranstalungszentrum VZ)

You can reach the Ruhr-University, which has its own station, easily by using the underground (U-Bahn) train U35 (CampusLine). From Monday to Friday, the U35 (going to Bochum Hustadt) departs in five-minute intervals, and it takes less than 10 minutes to go from the main train station to the university station. 1 You can buy your ticket by phone: just contact our service number +49 (0)1806 - 31 11 53  and use the keyword "CONVENTUS". Make sure you have your credit card to hand for payment (please note that Deutsche Bahn AG levies a surcharge for all credit card payments in accordance with the conditions of carriage for persons travelling with Deutsche Bahn AG companies ("BB Personenverkehr"). The service hotline is open Mondays to Friday from 8am to 8pm. There is a charge of EUR 0.20 per call from a German landline and a maximum of EUR 0.60 per call from mobile networks.

The travelling distance between the airports in Dortmund, Münster/Osnabrück, Cologne/Bonn and Düsseldorf and the Ruhr-Universität lasts a maximum of two hours. Düsseldorf airport is the most easily accessible one, with up to eight direct trains per hour running between the airport and Bochum’s main train station; the journey takes about 30 minutes.
